Acts 1:1-8 In my former book, Theophilus, I wrote about all that Jesus began to do and to teach 2 until the day he was taken up to heaven, after giving instructions through the Holy Spirit to the apostles he had chosen. 3 After his suffering, he presented himself to them and gave many convincing proofs that he was alive. He appeared to them over a period of forty days and spoke about the kingdom of God. 4 On one occasion, while he was eating with them, he gave them this command: “Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about. 5 For John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized withthe Holy Spirit.”
6 Then they gathered around him and asked him, “Lord, are you at this time going to restore the kingdom to Israel?”
7 He said to them: “It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority. 8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
A) PROVING He is alive (v3) ... he presented himself to them and gave many convincing proofs that he was alive
1 Cor 15:12 But if it is preached that Christ has been raised from the dead, how can some of you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? 13 If there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised. 14 And if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith.
Our preaching is useless and so is your faith is futile! Strong words from the Scriptures
Without the RESURRECTION the church is speechless!!
"Gospel isn't about making bad people good but about making DEAD people ALIVE!"
B) PREACHING the Kingdom (v3) He appeared to them over a period of forty days and spoke about the kingdom of God.
C) POWER of the Holy Spirit (v8) But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you
D) PURPOSE to witness(v8) and you will be my witnesses...
E) PLACES - everywhere, all the time! (v8) in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.

All have ramifications for the future
If you are a follower of Christ then every decision is spiritual!!
B) DREAMS
Build His dream and His dream will build you!
Don't allow the details to destroy the dream!
C) Difficulties
Don't doubt in the dark what God has shown you in the light!!
